Lieutenant Commander Marchant is assigned to the Office of the Chief of Naval Operations N97 staff at the Pentagon. He was the navigator on the final deployment of the USS Olympia (SSN-717) before decommissioning the ship as the engineer in early 2021. He holds a bachelor of science degree in astronomy and physics from Yale University.
